The quaint downtown area of Herndon amasses only 4.7 acres. But in that small area you can find lots of things to do.

Running right through the center of downtown is the WO&D trail and on any given day you can see several runners and bikers getting on and off the trail.

The town hosts a farmers market every Thursday from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM and in the Summertime the town holds free outdoor concerts on the Town Green every Friday night.

And check out  Arts Herndon which offers performance and visual art events throughout the year as well as a variety of art classes.

There are some great places to grab a bite to eat in the downtown Herndon area. Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern is a local favorite.  They have a wide variety of pub food and an impressive draught list. It is also home to Buffalo Bills fans who go there to watch the Bills play on game-day.

Zeffirelli’s is a charming restaurant that offers classic tuscan Italian fare. If you are looking for sushi – head to the Red Kimono just across the street. And The Breeze offers pub fare and a large variety of local beer on tap.

Stop in at Aslin Beer Co and tase ne of their many beers.  They have a tasting room, a rooftop deck and a retro style restaurant that serves pizza as well as Aslin Coffee and pastry.  Sully’s Pour House is just across the street.  Sully’s offers a variety of pub food, brunch and a rotating  list of craft beer.

Mile20, which is located inside the Breeze, has 24 rotating taps and focuses on serving craft beer from local and small breweries. Stop in and have a flight for the best variety.

Whatever you are in the mood for when you visit –  enjoy your day in Herndon.
