Lots of opportunities to get out and have some fun this month.  We have selected a little something for everyone from great live music events to a wine festival, Father’s Day Fishing Fun and the Great American Campout.

39th Annual Vintage Virginia Wine Festival
Taste some delicious wine and enjoy love music all for a good cause. A portion of event proceeds go to Spirit of Hope Children’s Foundation.  Want to start your day at Vintage Virginia a little bit earlier? Join in for a run – with wine! The NOVA Wine Run begins at 9:30am and tickets get you entry into the Vintage Virginia Festival.

Ready to do some treasure hinting?  Head out to the Del Ray Vintage and Flea Market and shop to your hearts content with our vendors selling a variety of goods.

The Allman Betts Band
For all the Allman Brothers fans out there check out the Allman Betts Band this month.  Led by Devon Allman and Duane Betts, both sons of the founders of the Allman Brothers Band, the group is ready to bring its energy and the spirit of rock to The Birchmere

Old Time Rock and Roll  by the Rock-A-Sonics  
Enjoy a live concert by The Rock-A-Sonics. The quintet combines vintage country and rock ’n’ roll for a true old-school sound.

Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra
If you are still more comfortable with streaming live music then cozy up on the couch for the Hylton at Home performance of the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra. Enjoy the ensemble virtually for a performance of music and spoken word about the orchestra’s own story. The set list for the night includes pieces from Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert.

Manassas Jazz Festival
Come out to listen to some great jazz at the The Manassas Jazz Festival.   The festival will also be featuring Virginia farm wineries, Virginia craft breweries, and local Virginia distilleries at this year’s event.  And an afternoon of live jazz music will make this the perfect day! Bring out your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a great event in downtown Manassas!

Rock the Block is BACK! 
Come celebrate the return of Rock the Block in Fairfax City featuring The Rockets. Come enjoy live music, the beer garden, and food vendors, and more!  Bring chairs and or blankets to sit on!  The band will kick off the event starting at 6:30 – 9:30 PM.

Father’s Day Fun

Father’s Day Fishing – Option 1
Take Dad out for some catch-and-release fun at Riverbend Park. Supplies and equipment will be provided, or you can bring your own rod and reel. $12; participants 16 and older must have a valid fishing license. Sessions at 9:00-10:30 and 11:30-1:00.

Father’s Day Fishing – Option 2
The Father’s Day Fish-a-Rama is another great option for Dads who love fishing. Treat Dad to a fun-filled weekend with BBQ and catch-and-release fishing. Compete in the Fish-a-Rama contest – fishing for bass and bluegill in stocked ponds.  Bring your own pole and gear to fish (no drag hooks).  They will have worms for sale with your reservation.

Great American Campout at Sky Meadows State Park
Camp out in the beautiful Historic Mount Bleak backyard during the Great American Campout. Park rangers will be on hand to help set up campsites and tents. Fun program include Fishing is Fun program, a campfire, nature hikes, Dogs East Search & Rescue demonstrations and more. Space is limited; $30 per campsite includes dinner and breakfast. Special activities begin Saturday at noon.
