Kirstin is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a proven record in event planning, communications campaigns, client relationships, and marketing strategies.

Most recently and immediately prior to joining the FOCUS on NoVA team, Kirstin was a Corporate Events Manager, where she planned and executed events for government contracting companies. Her careful coordination and expert customer account management delivered exceptional client experiences every time (if she can say so herself).

Kirstin’s diverse marketing background ranges from proposal development to non-profit fundraising activities and donor relationship management, to an international accounting firm where she played a key role in developing tailored marketing strategies, executive women’s programs, and communications campaigns.

Born in the Midwest, Kirstin traveled south to attend Tulane University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from the AB Freeman School of Business with Magna Cum Laude honors distinction (Roll Wave Roll). However, the heat was too much for her, and the humidity did nothing for her desperate attempts to have a trendy hairstyle, and thus, she has called Northern Virginia home for the past 30 plus years.

Kirstin is also active in her community in Fairfax Station, where she lives with her husband, three sons, one spirited daughter, two cats, several dust bunnies, and a fish. She currently serves as Vice President of her HOA and has previously served on the Architectural Review Board, Social Committee, and Swim Team Board. She organizes and helps plan many events to build community in her neighborhood (and in her children’s schools) as she genuinely believes relationships are what make good days great.

When she is not running her kids to sports and civic activities, she enjoys reading, drinking wine, and napping on her back porch (okay, this last one has never happened, but she can dream).
