SEE
Watch the Folger Theatre’s 2008 production of Macbeth, which was directed by Aaron Posner and magician Teller, via the theater’s YouTube channel.  The performance can be viewed online until July 1.

Animal Cams – What is more soothing than watching animals. You can follow the animals at the National Zoo through animal webcams. You can watch the Cheetah Cam, Elephant Cam, the Lion Cam the Naked Mole-rat Cam and the Giant Panda Cam.

If you weren’t able to catch the Degas at the Opera exhibit at the National Gallery of Art before it closed – you can take a virtual tour of this fantastic exhibit in the museum’s website.

LISTEN
This is an historically significant opportunity to listen in on the Supreme Court when it is in session in May. The court will hear arguments by phone for the first time, and the public will be able to listen in.

The Wharf’s Pearl Street Warehouse is offering free Facebook Live streaming of artists that were scheduled to perform at the venue this spring.  You can also watch previous sets of past performances.

In Vino Veritas! Many Virginia wineries are offering virtual wine tasting during quarantine. Breaux Vineyards has  scheduled several virtual tastings through the month of May.  For those that wish to taste along, each week’s wines are available on their website in convenient 2 packs for curbside pickup or delivery.

SMELL
Cook along with chef Jose Andres as he creates recipes on Instagram live along with his three daughters. Delicious and entertaining, his cooking videos will have your kitchen smelling delicious.  Follow him here at his #Recipesforthepeople on Instagram.

Enhance your cooking skills while being guided by professional chefs. You can find a variety of guided cooking lessons from start to finish with the free Project Foodie app.

TOUCH
Make your own sun print which is an early form of photography.  Supplies and instructions from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

PLAY
Calling all trivia buffs.  Get a virtual team together and join virtual trivia night hosted by Lou’s City Bar each Monday and Thursday night at 8:00PM.  Instructions on how to register your team are found on their twitter account.  Recent themes have included Harry Potter and TV sitcoms.

SHOP
Do your Holiday shopping in May. If you are spending your quarantine time doing online shopping – you can kill two birds with one stone by crossing names of your Holiday list and getting some retail therapy.  It is a great time to take advantage of current online sales and free shipping that many retailers are offering.

TOUR
Take a virtual walk through the National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center.  You can “walk around” all the history-packed planes at the museum. A really great website for the aeronautics in your world.

DO
Take an art class. The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria does a weekly series of artist interviews and hands-on activities you can join from home. Videos are available on Thursdays at 7 PM on Facebook and Instagram live.

Join the Imagination Theater in You and Me: Story Adventures.  The video series will walk you and your littlest ones through a storytime, a fun activity, and a song! home.

For young art lovers – the Hirshhorn is publishing DIY arts and crafts prompts for kids with their “Maker Morning” series.

ORGANIZE
Take the opportunity to do some hoe organization during quarantine.  The folks at Neatnik have several virtual organizing workshops which guides you on getting various areas in your home organized. 

LEARN
The American Red Cross is offering a Mental Health First Aid for COVID-19 on-line class to help ease the stress and anxiety.  This free course will help you to build resilience and support yourself and others through this crisis by reviewing basic principles including how to recognize and manage stress in yourself and in others and how to lend support to family members, friends and coworkers during and following the COVID-19 outbreak.
